Whales, Penguins and Sea Lions, Oh My!
What a wonderful time we've had today in PuertoMadryn! Our hostel is fantastic, nice room and the owner, Giselle, has of course adopted Deidre. We boarded a boat to go out to watch the whales. It's been my experience that guided tours tend to be not quite as advertised. I'm happy to report that this was not the case! The whales seem to be attracted to the boats; the seem to enjoy giving a show for us smaller mammals. The penguin colony was equally enjoyable, I love the way they waddle around. All in all a great trip.
For travelers, dreamers and anyone with a soul, I recommend Spark Your Dreams by Candelaria & Herman Zapp. See link(s) below. A wonderful story of an Argentinian couple that set's of from Buenos Aires to Alaska in a 1928 Graham-Paige. I find this to be the most awe inspiring book I've ever read. It's more than an a travel narrative, it's a very thought provoking read about life and living your dreams.
